We need your help to continue our world-class research


The background

Many fundraising events across the UK have been cancelled due to COVID-19, with a devastating impact on many charities' income, including ours. In response, the organisers of the biggest mass-participation events across the country - including the London Marathon - have come together to create a new campaign to raise vital funds to help UK charities.

The campaign, called The 2.6 Challenge, will start on 26 April - what should have been the date of this year's London Marathon.

What is The 2.6 Challenge?

It's a challenge for all ages and abilities. You just need to think of an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and complete it on or from Sunday 26 April.

You could walk, jog, run or cycle 2.6 miles, do 26 press ups or sit ups, or run 26 times around your garden. The challenge encourages people to get active, but absolutely anything counts - big or small, sporty or not.

Kids would love to get involved! You could balance a book on your head for 26 minutes! Hop, skip or jump for 26 minutes. Do a treasure hunt for 26 items. Be as crazy and creative as you like. There are no rules apart from the government guidelines on execrising safely.  

Once you've completed a challenge, why not challenge your friends!
