The Robin Wilkie Memorial Cycle
Glasgow-Edinburgh
October 2008
The numbers participating in the cycle have grown each year, and in this
- its fourth year - over sixty children and adults took part. Journalist and broadcaster Sally Magnusson, whose father Magnus Magnusson died of pancreatic cancer, was the official starter.
Organisers Kim Craven and Rhonda Harvey were delighted at the support for the event, despite the rain. "This year's cycle could be named after the famous Scottish band Wet, Wet, Wet", commented Kim, "but there was an incredibly supportive spirit on the day, and I think that was down to the weather. One friend said she loved it and hadn't been that dirty in ages!"
