A whole contingent of PCRF supporters took part in this year's Great North Run including Tina McKenzie O'Neill, Jamie Llewellyn, Dan Reeves, Jamie Watson, Louise White, Lucy Hall, Bob Bond, Sophie Groth Larsen, Garry Thompson, Wayne Durrant and Michele Blakey. The atmosphere, as expected, was wonderful and the weather, sunny but cool, was just about perfect.

Our webmaster, Paul Robinson, also took part in the race. He decided to take on the challenge of the world's biggest half-marathon after watching the 2007 race on TV and feeling the need for an incentive to start running again regularly. He said, "I did it in 1hr 58m 05s, so I just snuck inside my two hour target. The main problem I had was that I was placed back in Zone H at the start, so it was pretty much a constant struggle to work my way up through the field. I probably have something to learn about the strategic use of elbows."
