In the past, participants have raised money for a variety of charities. 2007 was the 10th anniversary of the event, and Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund was the nominated charity, proposed by Gill Brundle whose brother had been diagnosed with the disease. Gill's team - the Cave people - came in amongst the early finishers.
