Frank Harmer Memorial 10k Road Race
Brockwell Park
South London
March 2006
Our webmaster, Paul Robinson and his wife Jill decided to give impetus to their flagging fitness regimes
by entering a 10K race and raise money for PCRF at the same time.
It was a decidedly crisp Sunday morning in March for the Frank Harmer Memorial Race in Brockwell Park -
and excellent running weather.
Paul finished in 57m09s, which didn't break any records, but was well inside the hour he had been aiming for.
Jill doesn't say what her time was, but points out instead that she was the only finisher in the womens' 55+ category.
As well as getting sponsorship for the race, Jill raised some more money by getting the tea and bickies
concession at the dance class she and their daughter Anna go to.
The total is £325 from the race and another £96 from the
dance class refreshments.
