BUPA Great Women's Run

June 2008

Despite never having done a run before, Barbara Taylor was determined to take part in and complete the Gt. Women's Run in support of the charity. PCRF was the charity chosen by her daughter-in-law Rebecca before her death from pancreatic cancer in April 2008.

Friends Liz and Kathryn Metcalfe also took part, and all three finished the course in triumphant mood. Barbara told us, "Well, I did it and although it went a lot better than I thought, I don't think world class athletics need worry! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I did enjoy it. Every step was worth it if it means we're able to find out more about this horrible disease and do what we can to stop it."
