Hand-crafted greetings cards

Lytham

Christine Fowler

Christine Fowler has been a loyal supporter of the charity since the death of her husband, and uses her craft skills to raise money for us.

"When my husband passed away from pancreatic cancer in February 2005 at the age of 45, I started making greetings cards as a therapeutic hobby to alleviate the grief and emotional pain I was suffering. Not only did it give me something to do, but also gave me the idea of selling them in order to raise funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund. Now I continue to make cards and sell them to friends and colleagues, and I have an outlet at Lowther Gardens café in Lytham who are very supportive of this worthy cause.

As well as selling my cards, I hold a card craft evening occasionally for around 15 people and charge £1 entrance fee, which goes to the Fund."

You can view and buy Christine's cards via her website www.support-pancreatic-cancer.co.uk.
