Coffee Morning
Saffron Walden
November 2005
Janet Webb and her sister Denise Upton wanted to raise money for the charity after losing their mother to pancreatic cancer last year. With the help of family and friends, they organised a coffee morning. As well as coffee, tea and home-made cakes, there was a Cake Stall provided by their late mother's friends at the Women's Institute, bric-a-brac, a Christmas Stall, nearly new clothes, and a raffle. The event was a great success and raised £1,294.
The coffee morning was the first of what they hope will be a series of fundraising events.
