Tandem skydive

Hinton

October 2006

Pat Sanger wanted to do a skydive to raise money for PCRF in memory of her husband Derek, who died of pancreatic cancer in May 2006, eight weeks after diagnosis.

Reflecting on the day of the skydive, Pat wrote, "October 14th, Hinton Skydiving Centre is a day that will remain with me forever - the many friends who came to support me, the staff at Hinton, the instructor, the atmosphere and the love and laughter from everyone who was there on the day. While flying to reach altitude, I felt as if we were flying to the moon because we kept climbing and climbing. When I was edged to the door of the plane and jumped out into the sky above the clouds, it was incredible. What an amazing experience! It felt surreal."
