A slimmed down Dave Bennett presenting donation cheques to Maggie Blanks

Dave Bennett wanted to raise funds for the charity in memory of his former colleague Steve Robinson, and decided on a sponsored slim. As a result of his determination and the generosity of his colleagues at Glaxo Smith Kline and GSK suppliers, Dave raised £1,350. He started at 18 stone and slimmed down to 15 stone.

Explaining how he maintained his motivation, Dave commented, "I had a picture of Steve in my office that was taken while he was in hospital. Whenever I wavered, I looked at the photo of Steve and the reminder that it was for him kept me on track."
