PCRF patron supports Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month with style!

4 November 2013

Our patron, Jo Hansford MBE, has partnered with luxury leather goods brand Aspinal of London to create a stunning and exclusive gift offer, launched in Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, from which a hefty donation will be made to PCRF.

Jo Hansford hair oil and leather Aspinal carry case

Known as one of the world’s leading expert hair colourists with a loyal, global clientele, Jo’s hair products are highly prized. Her Expert Colour Care  IlluminoilTM has become known as the ‘little black dress of hair care’ and is a trusty handbag essential for A-list celebrities, beauty editors and fashionistas alike.

Jo has teamed up with Aspinal to create a stunning limited edition gift idea - a red leather lizard print carry case, lined in shimmering grosgrain and designed to hold a miniature 15ml bottle of IlluminoilTM for the chic woman on the go. Fifty limited edition cases containing the high-end haircare product are available from the Mayfair-based Jo Hansford salon from November 08, and such is the expected demand for the product, Jo has had to set up a waiting list.

Jo has been a proud and generous patron of the Pancreatic Cancer Research fund since 2005 and has a strong personal reason to support the charity, as pancreatic cancer claimed the life of her husband David in 2001 – and her mother more than three decades earlier.

Says PCRF founder, Maggie Blanks: “We’re so grateful and lucky to have the support of Jo and her daughter Joanna. They make a formidable team and their endeavours to promote the charity are very much appreciated. Jo has always gone the extra mile in Awareness Month, and this lovely product is a really innovative way to raise funds and awareness.”
