Be part of the Guinness World Record auction event on 28-29 November!

18 November 2013

With only 10 days to go before BBC celebrity antiques expert James Lewis makes his bid for solo auction World Record fame, the catalogue containing the lots up for grabs has been published for viewing online.

Ten charities – including the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund – will benefit from the proceeds of the mammoth 24-hr Grand Charity Auction, which is starts at 6.30pm on 28 November and runs through till 6.30pm on Friday 29 November, at the Westfield Centre in Derby.  For those who can’t make it to Derby, but would like to bid on an item, you can either bid live via the internet, or if the live excitement is too much, you can put in a bid on items prior to the auction.  All information for interested bidders is explained here.

The organisers, James’ auction house Bamfords, have been busy photographing and cataloguing and have announced that a massive 2,500 lots have been donated,  including a brand new 63 reg Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 SXi 5dr with Metallic Paint (delivery miles only), donated by Motorpoint, worth a total value of over £15,000!

A huge range of items and gift experiences have been donated, including short breaks, a holiday for 6 in Turkey, hotel stays, meals out, a hot air balloon ride…there’s truly something for everyone. And with PCRF as one of the beneficiaries of the auction, what a great way to raise some money for pancreatic cancer research!

The current online catalogue ultimately will carry photographs of every item and will be available for viewing on www.the-saleroom.com and http://www.bamfords-auctions.co.uk., so why not take a look and see if you can bag some bargains just in time for Christmas?
