Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund Supporters Conference – thank you (and photos!)

21 December 2017

Our 2017 Supporters Conference took place on 10 November, with over 150 supporters attending. It was a wonderful, heartening event and lovely to see both regulars and those coming for the first time.

The conference is a way for supporters to learn first-hand how donations are being used in research to beat pancreatic cancer and to meet some of the scientists and clinicians leading PCRF-funded projects.

It was a packed programme, with presentations from researchers updating us on seven projects funded by the charity, including PCRF’s national pancreas tissue bank, which is taking good shape.  We again took the opportunity to invite delegates to donate blood, saliva and/or urine for the Bank as healthy samples. These are important for researchers to be able to access as well as samples from pancreatic cancer patients, so sincere thanks to all who donated this time; your samples will help the research investigating ways to diagnose and treat pancreatic cancer.

You can browse photos from the day in the gallery above. We think they give a real flavour of the day and if you joined us at the conference, you might even spot yourself among them!

We’ll put videos of all the presentations on the website as soon as possible.
