20 March 2012

Author Peter Burke is giving away free, signed copies of his books to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.

Author Peter Burke is giving away free, signed copies of his books 'The Promise' and 'The King's Sword' on Saturday 24th March from 2.00pm at Old Ashmolean Rugby Club, The Bourne, Southgate, N14 6QY. In return, Peter is asking for donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund. Peter's wife Julie has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

'The Promise' and 'The King's Sword' are the first two of an historical adventure trilogy. They combine legends, history and extraordinary events in an intriguing and colourful tale. In addition to the donations raised from the book give-away, the proceeds from future sales of the books will also be donated to PCRF.

To make the books given away on Saturday even more special, actor Burt Kwouk will also be signing them alongside Peter. Burt starred with Peter Sellers in The Pink Panther films and more recently in Last of The Summer Wine, and is a close friend of Peter and his family.
