Bears helping to fund pancreatic cancer research

Bears helping to fund pancreatic cancer research

6 April 2012

As her latest fundraiser, PCRF supporter Rita Prodger decided to organise a sale of teddy bears.

Rita is raising money for more research in memory of her husband Bob, who died of pancreatic cancer in January 2012. Since then, she has thrown herself into supporting the charity. Her latest idea was a teddy bear sale. As well as contributing her own collection of bears, Rita invited her local community in Henfield, West Sussex to donate bears. 'I've been inundated with them." said Rita. "People have been so generous."

The bears will be on sale from Sat. 7th April at Southdown Galleries, High Street, Henfield, West Sussex - just north of Brighton. Do go along to find your perfect bear and to meet Rita.
