Donations to Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund in its latest financial year which ended 30th November have topped £1 million – an incredible achievement – and testament to the huge fundraising efforts of all our supporters around the UK.

Says PCRF founder, Maggie Blanks: “This is incredible news. Our supporters’ loyalty is overwhelming, and I’d like to say a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who’s helped achieve this milestone, especially in straitened economic times.

“As you know we’re a small charity with a big ambition to tackle pancreatic cancer head-on through cutting-edge research. To reach a million pounds in a single year just goes to show that every donation and fundraising event - whether for £20, £200 or £20,000 - all add up to make a big difference, and we’re very grateful for your support!

“Your hard work allows us to fund 21 research projects around the UK so far, conducted by brilliant and committed researchers, to make headway in understanding pancreatic cancer. From these and future projects, we hope to see new treatments and early diagnostic tests being developed. Without your hard work, none of this research would be happening."
