Snowdon Climb

September 2011

Laura Taylor's mother Jeanette died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 49. Together with her dad Dion, friends and Dion's colleagues from JCB, she organised a charity Snowdon climb to raise money for more research into the disease. On the day, more than 40 people battled their way up the mountain in harsh conditions. Over £4,250 was raised. Said 16 year-old Laura afterwards, "The walk was a huge success, even though we picked the worst possible day, with torrential rain and 40mph winds! But it would have taken a lot to dampen the spirits of everyone involved that day. Mum was a really selfless person who always put other people first. She was and will always be the bravest person I know."
