Organising donations in lieu of flowers

Many families nowadays are deciding to ask for donations to charity as an alternative to flowers for a funeral.

If you have lost someone to pancreatic cancer and are arranging a funeral, asking for donations to Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is a special way to remember them and help improve survival chances for future patients.

There are a number of ways you can arrange this:

  • Many funeral directors offer the service of being the receiving point for donations. They then forward them to the charity, at the same time notifying the family of the total donations received. If you choose to arrange donations this way, it’s important to provide the funeral director with our name and address (Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, PO Box 47432, London, N21 1XP) and let friends and family know who to make a cheque out to (Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund) and the name and address of the funeral directors as the place to send their donations.
  • You can set up an online In Memory page for donations. It’s easy and secure through our Justgiving link. On the page you can tell the story of the person you’re remembering (with words, photos and video) and explain why you’re raising money in their memory. Friends and family can donate onto the page easily and securely, wherever they are, and leave their tributes when they donate. Together you can make a real difference in memory of your loved one.
  • Cheques (payable to Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund) can be sent to us direct at PO Box 47432, London, N21 1XP. If you’d like us to notify you of the total donations made this way, please include your name and address and who the donations are in memory of.
