Kerpow! Caped Crusaders tackle Brighton fun run

We’re not exactly sure what the collective noun for a group of superheroes is (a marvel?), but wow, what an incredible performance the Gayton family put on at the 2019 Brighton Heroes fun run in May.

We’re not exactly sure what the collective noun for a group of superheroes is (a marvel?), but wow, what an incredible performance the Gayton family put on at the 2019 Brighton Heroes fun run in May.

While three grown-ups took on the 10km and 5km runs, Claude (10), George (9) and Noah (8), took on the 1-mile race. Youngsters Teddy (6), Hattie (2) and baby Joey (1) completed the 500m dash – technically Joey was in his pushchair, but it still counts!

The mini superheroes helped to raise over £4,500 for PCRF inspired by their grandfather Paul, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Says Tom Gayton, father of Claude and Noah: “It was a fantastic day, with events for all ages and abilities. Our Dad was overwhelmed by the lovely, supportive messages and people’s generosity on the Just Giving page. We’ve been really touched by everyone’s kindness.”
