Colleagues rally for Rudi

Jewellery designer Francesca Glos and colleagues from Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery in Hertfordshire, completed a 55-mile fundraising bike ride to Cambridge and back in tribute to Francesca’s father, Rudi.

Rudi died just two weeks after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and Francesca’s colleagues immediately rallied round to support her.

The 12-strong team cycled nearly 30 miles to the Cambridge branch of the jewellers in just three hours, and six of them completed the trip back to Halls Green, raising a magnificent total of over £2,000.

Francesca, from Bedford, said:   “When we hit the 50-mile mark, the wind was against us, as well as the hills – but looking up and seeing the determination of everyone in their red PCRF T-shirts was so motivating, and truly displayed our amazing attitude and teamwork. The cycle ride was such a great personal achievement for all of us, and raising money for such an important cause made it all worthwhile.”
