It’s baa-ck! Crowds flock to Lambing Live event

Katie Whybrow and her family welcomed hundreds of people through the gates of Lower Wilbury Farm in Letchworth on Sunday 24 March, for the annual ‘Lambing Live’ event which they run each year for charity.

Lambing Live offers the chance to see and bottlefeed the newborn lambs – and if you’re lucky, watch a lamb being born – with talks given throughout the day in the lambing shed. This year, we were very proud to be told that the funds raised would be donated to PCRF.

A beautifully sunny Spring day brought the crowds in droves and a table groaning with cakes and refreshments boosted the total raised to a magnificent £1154. Katie has generously offered to have a permanent collecting tin in the Farm Shop too!

Maggie Blanks, PCRF’s CEO said: “Huge thanks to Katie and all those involved. We love hearing about the unusual and inventive ways that people fundraise for us, and live lambing is definitely a first!”
